If someone asks me which one do you choose ayurveda or allopathy?
My answer would be ayurveda because i know ayurveda is much better than allopathy but that doesn’t mean allopathy has no importance it is a very important and main part of the health system of any country.🙏
Here, in this post, I will tell you the advantages and disadvantages of Ayurveda over allopathy.
So, let’s get started……😎
Advantages of Ayurveda over Allopathy👍
Here are the main benefits of ayurvedic medicines over allopathic.
1. Allopathy Controls But Ayurveda Cures
If you are taking allopathic medicine then you will find that there is no fixed time frame for which you need to take this medicine to cure your disease, maybe you need to take those medicine for one year, two years, or forever.
In other words, allopathy just controls a disease.
On the other hand, ayurvedic medicine works on the root of the disease, mostly any ayurvedic course takes one to four months to cure a disease but this time period can be more longer or shorter depending upon the disease.
And when you get cured then just leave the medicines and that’s solve.
2. Ayurveda is Fully Natural🏞️
I don’t think I need to tell you how ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are prepared as we all know that ayurvedic medicines are prepared from natural herbs, allopathic medicines are prepared from chemicals.

So, it’s better to take natural herbs because these come from nature.🍀
You can easily understand the difference with the example given below.
If a person is deficient in Vitamin A then there are two options in front of him:
- He can take allopathic vitamin A capsules.
- To get natural vitamin A, he can eat fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins like carrots.
According to me, this man should eat fresh fruits and vegetables rich in Vitamin A because if you are getting Vitamin A from natural things then there is no point in taking Vitamin A from allopathic medicines.
3. No Steroids
Many allopathic medicines contain steroids which can affect our body badly. But on the other hand, none of the ayurvedic medicines contain steroids.
It’s better to take natural herbal meds than one which contain steroids.
Here is the article from government officials about steroids: https://medlineplus.gov/steroids.html
4. No Fear of Mind
Have you ever investigated the ingredients used in allopathic medicines? If yes, then you must have noticed the different chemical names listed on those medicines and there’s a 100% chance that you don’t know anything about those chemicals.
And this creates a fear in my mind that what I am taking in the form of these medicines, are they steroids?, etc.
But this is not with ayurveda.
On seeing the list of ingredients on any Ayurvedic medicine, you will only find the names of those herbs which are used in the preparation of that medicine.
Even if you do not know about those herbs, you will be satisfied that you are taking herbs not chemicals.😎
5. No Side Effects✌️
You will be amazed to know that there are no side effects of ayurvedic medicines and after using them for a long time period because it’s All natural but when it comes to allopathic medicines you will get so that taking allopathic medicine for long time can damage our body organs.
In other words, when you use allopathic for a longer time period then it can cause many other normal to serious issues in your body.
And I am not saying this to glorify natural medicines, but I have proof as well. See the below screen shot of a pain reliever which we often use!!
Disadvantages of Ayurveda over Allopathy👎
Now, let’s see few disadvantages of ayurveda over allopathy:
1. Ayurvedic Medicines Give Result Slower Than Allopathic🐌🐌
Except a few, almost all ayurvedic medicines give result very slower in comparison to allopathic.
Allopathic medicines can give result in minutes and but herbal/ayurvedic medicines take some days to give you result.🙏
Yes, like allopathic medical practice, ayurveda doesn’t gives us any emergency services for injuries caused due to vehicle accidents , cardiac arrest, etc.
These are the two disadvantages of Ayurveda that I found and these can be corrected if the whole world starts working on Ayurveda.🤝
1. Is allopathy better than Ayurveda?
It depends how and on which parameters we are comparing both these medical practices but overall you will find that Ayurveda or ayurvedic medicines are better than allopathy.👍✌️
2. Is Ayurveda safe with allopathy?
In this condition, you should consult with an expert ayurvedic doctor because they have experience about this.
3. Can I stop Ayurvedic medicine?
Yes, if you are fully cured then you can stop ayurvedic medicine but please do not stop taking abruptly but gradually.
For example, if you are taking ayurvedic medicines daily, then to stop, first start taking after every two days, then after four days, then once a week, then twice a month….this is a better way to stop than abruptly.👍
So this was my post about why Ayurveda is best than allopathy, hope you liked it.
Take care and bye🙏👍💕
